Yves Rocher has applied for three patents in France, including one patent on the enzymatic cold extraction process and two patents on the skin benefits of ice plant extracts. The patents are valid for 20 years. Enzymatic cold extraction is a weather extraction process that extracts plants at -70° to produce pure, concentrated active ingredients, retaining 100% of the plant's active ingredients, so it can best exert the effects of ice plant ingredients.
